Fun way to spend a few hours. $10 admission. Some challenging trail (though you can choose an easier route). The cliff and drop-offs are not marked or guarded (so use extreme caution if bringing children) We had fun and will return when we're in town again.

Pure natural awesomeness! If you have never been get there asap. If you have been, get back there! Childhood favorite for generations.

Amazing-highly recommend! Really nice people. Trail is well marked with some history and told you about each of the rock formations and even the different trees on the way. I hiked in the rain so just had to be careful of some puddles, but it was so peaceful and amazing. I would return

The staff at Panama Rock was friendly and helpful!
My husband and I were visiting while celebrating our 23rd anniversary.
We were so amazed by the continuous rock formations that had crevices of over 30feet deep in some places. My husband really enjoyed climbing through the endless crevices! Like a kid in the candy store!
We are from the catskill mountains of NY with similar rock formations but none so concentrated like this was on a one mile walk!
At the end we purchased quality merchandise, some handmade from the proprietors.
We will be back!!Helpful 1Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0 - Joy N.Clarence Center, NY25122778Jun 3, 2021
Wow! This was a cool hike. Not a boring trail at all. The Panama Rocks Trail is a on private property. I am really glad that the owners share there beautiful property for a small fee.
If you stick to the trail I would give it an easy rating. if you are feeling adventurous and craving a little more of a challenging hike, there are areas where you can step off the trail and discover something amazing and magical.
The owners does a great job in making it a learning and fun experience. Throughout the trail you will see signs posted at points of interest giving a little history lesson, or interesting facts on the landscape and creatures in the area.
Another fun twist the owners added to your experience. They offer a free treasure hunt. Follow the clues and find the treasure chest. But you also have to figure out the password to open it. Sadly, we didn't find the treasure chest. I will have to try again next time.
I would give your self 2 hours for this trail. Though it is short, there is so much to see.
If you want to make a day out of it you can reserve a time slot for the axe throwing that is also in the property and could be booked on their website. Note: due to Covid restrictions. It is best to make reservations for your Panama Rocks experience.
One last thing, due to safety concerns no dogs allowed :(Helpful 15Thanks 1Love this 13Oh no 0 - Aug 9, 2019
Nature is beautiful and Chautauqua is such a beautiful place. Panama rocks is one of the local treasures.
Standing around these huge boulders you realize how small we are and how short our existence is in comparison. A cool place to check out and think.
Wear sneakers, use a rest room before you get there, and charge your phone.Helpful 55Thanks 0Love this 49Oh no 0 - 1325682000Jul 7, 2020
What a nice family owned park - perfect adventure for a day trip! Similar to Rock City Park in Olean NY, park admission is $8.25 (they recommend going online to pick a time slot due to the COVID social distancing guidelines) to explore the rocks and caves on this gorgeous property. There are 12 points of interest to take pictures, and it's about a 1 mile loop around. (I would consider this a moderate hike) Tons of opportunities for fun poses and unique pics. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, this is fun for the whole family! Side note- check out Southern Tier Brewing Company for a cold brew that is only 15 minutes away!

A nice day trip from Buffalo! Due to COVID, they recommend making reservations and signing waivers online. This was done easily and relatively quickly even on a mobile device. Masks are required at check-in but not within the park as long as you can socially distance. The check in was very quick and easy, and the owner was super nice and helpful, giving us tips on which areas would be the easiest/most fun for the us and the kids (adult male, me = pregnant, 5 year old, 3 year old, and a senior). He took his time to really let us know what to look for and how to best enjoy the park by going off trail and exploring the rocks safely.
The trail was easy to follow with signs tacked up to explain the park and also the rock formations, and the rock themselves were so cool! There were many cracks and crevices to climb and explore. There were other people on the trail but everyone was very respectful and kept a good distance and took turns exploring the rock formations. One added benefit also was that it was so nice and cool within the park... a great pro during the muggy summer days!
I would definitely come back and enjoy on another day when not pregnant and more able to explore!Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0
