Hogan's Hut

Small town store with food right by an exit of 86. They sell gas, breakfast sandwiches, subs,local breweries (southern tier, Ellicottville, big ditch...), local maps, live bait, snacks, milk, cuba cheese factory products(a variety of flavored cheese curds and cheese spreads), brew a variety of green mountain coffee, and random things.
There's an ice cream shop and post office sharing a lot with them. Right down the road where it dead ends into the lake there's a parking lot with a view, light house, public fishing dock,bathrooms, pavilion with picnic beaches, and ferry to cross the lake.

I'm a big fan of Hogan's Hut. Though a convenience store, it's much more than that. Here you can not only get the typical 7-11 pr Country Fair items but also a fishing license, bait, some tackle, beer, and camping equipment. Best of all, good advice on which fish are hitting and the bait they are hitting on from the super friendly, helpful staff. Their advice helped me catch some nice yellow perch, which ended up making for some delicious perch sandwiches.

Also, I had one of their breakfast sandwiches and found it to be one of the best I've ever had; totally delicious, and totally satisfying. Plus, the outback picnic benches were ideal for me to enjoy my meal.

The only problem is some totally inconsiderate patrons who will pump their gas or diesel, then leave their vehicle sitting at the pump and go inside to shop or eat.

Saved my life ! Trucker needed to stop for my mandatory break , I was able to accommodate and station here , Hogans Hut Subs are a good introduction to what New York subs is about !!! Thank you & wish this place became a full on truck stop

This is my morning stop 4 to 5 days a week. I run in and place an order for yummy breakfast sandwich and look at the daily trivia they do. I run out and fill my tank with gas while thinking about trivia question. By the time I'm done pumping gas my Sandy is done.

Come for the bait and leave with an ice cream cone as big as your head!!!!!
Was on a trip from indiana and only needed some bait.
Instead I got some good advice for fishing lake chautauqua, great bait and tackle and also got amazingly delicious ice cream.
Dont tell anyone.... but I think they give you DOUBLE the amount of ice cream you order. Its our secret. ..shhhh

Love Hogan's Hut. When we are spending time at the lake it's our go to spot for just about everything. Pleasant employees always willing to help. Dinged one star due to the arrogant local craftsmen that congregate around the gas pumps. They continually park and gas up then wander into the store for coffee and conversation with others while we wait in our vehicles for them to drive away from the pumps. Unbelievable that individuals would be so clueless and not move their vehicles once they fill up so others might get gas.

A local store that offers Gas, Beer, and other items you might need while on the lake. Prices for beer are decent, and they have a good selection of local, and national beers.

They offer Fishing licenses, and bait, as well as other camping items, but if you need more then just a few items, it would be worth going to Lakewood, for larger purchases.

Hogans hut is so awesome! They have great prices for gas and inside a whole general store as well as a perfect place to grab a great freshly made sandwich for lunch! They also have a bait and tackle shop which is great to stop by and grab a few things before going fishing! As well as Excellent customer service, the employees are very friendly!
